personality: He is a kind-hearted soul, but a tad shy. He tries his best to be a good role model for his sister, but sometimes that is hard for him to do, like when she asks why he acts weird around a mare, or when she sees a pair wandering off to mate in the middle of the night. Of course, his one goal in life is to protect his sister, but other then that he wants to find a love of his own, just like the rest of his herd seems to do. An illusion that gets him every time he sees a mare flirt, that no mare loves him.. He is a bit of a flirt, without really realizing he is flirting. He thinks of it as being polite, but sometimes it gets him in trouble with stallions, and in trouble with having to explain it to his kid sister!
He tries to treat everyone as his equal, but favors mares and will treat them always like gold. His golden rule is to treat others how you want to be treated, only he adds his own touch.. Treat others how you want to be treated, if not better then that. He believes that if you are a gentleman and treat others with more dignity and respect then they give you, you will get about the same amount and make friends more quickly. All in all, a friendly, sociable young stallion.
history:
To get to his birth, we must go to his past. His grandparents were originally indian horses, turned loose at the age they were weaned along with a few other horses. They befriended a mare that seemed helpful, always full of advice and good guidance. Together they ran free, and they found the cimarron herd together. Everything was perfect for them, until the other mare was captured. For some insane reason, the brave stallion out of the trio went after her, becoming captured. He found her again, at a strange camp where he was held captive. Their manes were cut, but in the night they made a miracle... a foal... She died in labor that night, but the foal was raised by the army and survived, a colt. The colt grew up, and returned to the cimarron herd after his father helped the two of them escape. However, the father was still in love with the first mare, back at the herd. So he did not tell her this was his son. He simply told her this was his friend. Yet he soon realized that he had made a dire mistake by taking the colt home. The colt had soon fallen for his love, and after a few years they were expecting a foal of their own. A colt. And so she lived a few more years, but then died of a heart attack when the colt was a teenager. So the stallion, completly at a loss for all that had happened, decided to give his son, and his grandson who was damed out of his love, the last living memorial for her, and gave them a sibling with an appaloosa mare. And so Coco was born, and the yearling grandson was known as Phantom, perhaps because he wasthe Phantom spirit of his mother, the only living thing to remember her by.
